To Blake
Trains in Waterloo Station:
You see the world in minutes and hours and timetables
Others see it in fears, thrills. Dying like candles.
Eyes disperse different colours in a palpable touch.While-
Thoughts have a taste of blood and bitterness of almonds.
Tingling of bubbles in mineral water.
Taste of coffee on numb lips and tongue
Lemons made into lemonade.
Whirlpool of 72 hours.
William Blake
“To See a World…”
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.
