Water colours

The sky was coloured salmon today.
A fleshy,peachy sunset.
The colour of unveiled human skin,
Familiar, yet beyond fingers’ touch.
The skyline was lovingly pressing itself  against the hills pushing up:
lovers skin to skin.
I wept under salmon skies
the day before Christmas.
